COVID -19 Caught Communities by Surprise.

The humanitarian and economic impact will be devastating. However that is the case with most disasters.

No Community is Immune to Disaster

As recent Pandemics, Forest Fires, Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Tsunamis, and Volcanoes have shown us, all communities need to be prepared. While government help will eventually be available it is essential to be prepared for at least 72 hours and in many cases much more.

How We Can Respond

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS KITS
Rotary Clubs and other organisations can help communities with their emergency preparedness programs. All communities in Canada either have an Emergency Response plan or are working on one. Rotary Clubs have the ability to be proactive participants in that process. Many Organisations can access Community Gaming and other Grants. Rotary Clubs can access District Grants or access other sources. See below for more information.
